Agnieszka Radwanska Rules The World Of Tennis With A Rank Of 13

Working her way through a couple of junior championships, it was in 2007 that Agnieszka Radwanska landed with her first WTA title. She secured her place in the final match of Grand Slam in 2012, but she lost it to Serena Williams from the US. She marched into the professional zone of tennis when she won the 2005 Wimbledon girls' singles championship. The year 2006 saw her claiming the Junior French Open.

Radwanska is often compared with Martina Hingis for the deft she has with placing the ball with a finesse. The World Tennis Association ranks her at number 13 for her skills at playing the game, although she did hold the second position in July 2012. 

The Polish lady has fourteen career singles to her credit. She became the first Polish player to enter the final stage of a Grand Slam when she participated in the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. Radwanska bagged the WTA tour title in 2008. She has been a winner at number two in the world ranking. She was the runner-up at Wimbledon in 2012.

She also became the first Polish to win the WTA singles tournament in 2007. Polish President Bronisław Komorowski rewarded her with the Gold Cross of Merit for bringing laurels to the sport and to the country. She lost the WTA tour title when she lost to her Swiss opponent, Belinda Bencic.

Radwanska has been quite active in charity-related work. Along with her sister, Urszula, she has set up a charity called Szlachetna Paczka. They also work for another charitable organization celled Habitat for Humanity.
