Problems faced by women athletes

Gender based discrimination is tried to curb down all over the world, including sports. There might be a great start for sports in school but down the long haul, the facilities start to diminish, especially when they should be available wholly.

For those who don’t know what kinds of problems women athletes face on a day-to-day basis, here’s what you should know:

Low Salary Bar
Women, whether players or coaches are paid way less than what the men are paid in the same field. Because of the low salary bar, women are furthermore discouraged to take up athletics as a profession.
Gender Inequality
While there is a definitive gender discrimination in sports field, women players can’t seem to forget so many obstructions. Be it gender inequality, fear of homophobia or scanty resources, they have to face all of these and much more issues.
For all the women athletes, taking up sports to a professional level is not a war, it’s a battle.
